After sunrise we took advantage of the cool morning weather and walked along the rim. The morning sunrise crowd dispersed and we were able to enjoy some quiet views before eventually exiting the park and heading south toward Williams, AZ and Route 66.

Route 66
To see the entire Route 66 through Williams you will need to loop across town and back. This is because Route 66 is divided through downtown Williams with the east and westbound traffic running a block apart. Williams also offers the unique experience of being able to ride a zipline that runs over Route 66.
After circling Williams, Route 66 joins with interstate 40 before splitting again toward Seligman. From Seligman you can follow Route 66 all the way to Kingman. Once in Kingman check out the Route 66 museum for your fill of history.
